Q: How do I join the Minecraft server?
A: Our server is public and runs on our official Grotto Guild modpack, which is available on CurseForge. The Server IP is already included in the modpack’s server list. Just navigate to the multiplayer menu, and you’ll see it!
To join:
Open the CurseForge desktop app.
Go to “Browse Modpacks” and search for: [Your Modpack’s Name]
Click “Install.”
Click “Play” from the CurseForge app to launch.
The correct Minecraft version and all mods are handled automatically by the pack.
Q: What are the main server rules?
A: We want everyone to have a fun and fair experience. Our key rules are:
PVE Only: This is a Player vs. Environment server. PVP (Player vs. Player) is disabled. Do not try to kill other players (e.g., with traps, lava, etc.).
No Griefing: Do not destroy, deface, or alter another player’s build without permission.
No Stealing: Do not take items from another player’s chests, farms, or item frames.
No Cheating/Hacks: Using X-Ray, fly hacks, kill-aura, or any unapproved client-side mods is forbidden.
Be Respectful in Chat: All community rules apply in-game.

A: This is a modded PVE (Player vs. Environment) Survival (SMP) server.

Q: How do I report a player for breaking the rules?
A: Please gather as much proof as possible (screenshots, video clips) and open a ticket in our Discord’s #support channel. Do not DM moderators or accuse players in public chat.
Q: Is the world ever reset?
A: Our goal is to create a long-term world, so we do not have a fixed reset schedule. However, the main world may be reset upon a majority vote from the player base.
This would typically be discussed if a major, world-changing update to Minecraft or the modpack is released. Any potential reset will be announced well in advance after a community poll.*: We may still reset resource worlds like ‘The End’ periodically so everyone can find new Elytras, but the main world is intended to be long-term.)
