Q: What is “Grotto Guild”?

A: Grotto Guild is a community-focused group of gamers dedicated to finding friends and playing together. We are a relaxed, friendly community with a love for cooperative games. Our main focus is our PVE (Player vs. Environment) Minecraft server!

Q: How do I join the community?

Q: What are the main community rules?

A: Our core philosophy is respect. While specific rules are in our Discord, the main ones are:

• Be respectful and kind to all members. This is a place for making friends.
• No hate speech, harassment, or bullying.
• No spamming or excessive self-promotion.
• Do not DM moderators or admins. Please use our official support channels (like opening a ticket) for help.
• Follow all Twitch & Discord Terms of Service.

Minecraft Server Questions:

Q: How do I join the Minecraft server?

A: Our server is public and runs on our official Grotto Guild modpack, which is available on CurseForge. The Server IP is already included in the modpack’s server list. Just navigate to the multiplayer menu, and you’ll see it!

To join:

Open the CurseForge desktop app.

Go to “Browse Modpacks” and search for: [Your Modpack’s Name]

Click “Install.”

Click “Play” from the CurseForge app to launch.

The correct Minecraft version and all mods are handled automatically by the pack.

Q: What are the main server rules?

A: We want everyone to have a fun and fair experience. Our key rules are:

PVE Only: This is a Player vs. Environment server. PVP (Player vs. Player) is disabled. Do not try to kill other players (e.g., with traps, lava, etc.).

No Griefing: Do not destroy, deface, or alter another player’s build without permission.

No Stealing: Do not take items from another player’s chests, farms, or item frames.

No Cheating/Hacks: Using X-Ray, fly hacks, kill-aura, or any unapproved client-side mods is forbidden.

Be Respectful in Chat: All community rules apply in-game.

Q: What kind of server is this?

A: This is a modded PVE (Player vs. Environment) Survival (SMP) server.

Our Goal: We are focused on building a friendly, long-term community. This is a place to collaborate on builds, share resources, and enjoy the game without worrying about other players.

Q: What are the main mods in the pack?

A: Our pack is a “kitchen sink” pack designed for every type of player! Whether you like tech, magic, exploration, or building, there’s something for you. Q: How do I report a player for breaking the rules?

A: Please gather as much proof as possible (screenshots, video clips) and open a ticket in our Discord’s #support channel. Do not DM moderators or accuse players in public chat.

Q: Is the world ever reset?

A: Our goal is to create a long-term world, so we do not have a fixed reset schedule. However, the main world may be reset upon a majority vote from the player base.

This would typically be discussed if a major, world-changing update to Minecraft or the modpack is released. Any potential reset will be announced well in advance after a community poll.*: We may still reset resource worlds like ‘The End’ periodically so everyone can find new Elytras, but the main world is intended to be long-term.)

Twitch Stream Questions:

Q: When do you stream?

A: Our main team streams are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings ([Your Timezone, e.g., EST/CST/PST]).

Individual guild members may also stream at other times! Follow us on Twitch and enable notifications to know whenever we go live.

Specific start times are announced in our Discord in the #announcements channel each week.
